6.10 Efimov Effect in Halo Nuclei Using Effective Field Theory

precision, particularly because the renormalization procedure involves too many
subtractions at various stages introducing thereby the possible truncation error; (iii)
to check how far the lower cutoff value of (which is admissible for stable results)
has an effect on the scattering amplitude; and (iv) to study the effect of variation
of the scattering length parameters from the ground state energy to the regime of
excited state energies. The last point is expected to shed light on the correlation
between three-body scattering lengths and the corresponding binding energies for
both ground state and excited states on the lines similar to the recent attempt [113] on
the study of weakly bound three-body systems to estimate the degree of universality
with short-range interactions. The study of n−
19 C scattering on these aspects will
be the subject for future publication.
