Beginning from the statement that the filler–rubber interaction increases in
anisotropic filler, new composites containing shape-controlled particle with different aspect ratios were prepared (Fig. 5.49).
Atomic force micrographs (Fig. 5.50) detail that the anisotropic particles are
surrounded by overlapped higher-density polymer layers which better reinforce the
cross-linking of the polymer and enhance the mechanical properties of the
composite.
