Chapter 10
Radicals in Frustrated Lewis Pair
Chemistry
Flip Holtrop, Andrew R. Jupp, and J. Chris Slootweg
Abstract The recent discovery of radical formation within frustrated Lewis pair
(FLP) systems indicates that single-electron transfer (SET) may play an important
role in their chemistry. This has sparked interest in the generation, analysis and
utilization of radical species within FLP-type systems. This chapter explores such
radical formation and provides in-depth insight into the SET events involved.
