wire probes are susceptible to frequent damage, however they are relatively simple
to operate and cheap. The issues related to phase-shits or lags in a spatially evolving
flow can be addressed by employing multiple probes on a hot wire rake or grid, as
shown in Fig. 10.14 and this depends on the type of flow to be measured.
