including their means of guidance. At present, he is responsible for ISL’s
Aerodynamics and Outdoor Ballistics group. He is the author of dozens of international publications.
Erwin R. Gowree is an associate professor in applied aerodynamics at
ISAE-SUPAERO. He holds a Ph.D. in aerodynamics from City, University of
London, where he stayed on as a Research Fellow for few years before joining
Rolls Royce as an aeroelasticity specialist. His research activities are mainly in
experimental aerodynamics, focussing on stability and transition of flows while also
diversifying into bio-inspired aerodynamics. He is in charge of the applied aerodynamics and the experimental practice module at ISAE-SUPAERO.
Philippe Perrier is a graduate of the Ecole Centrale de Paris and has spent more
than 40 years at the Dassault Aviation Design Office. He has been involved in the
aerodynamic design of all of the company’s aircraft since the 1970s, from the
Falcon 50 to the Falcon 5X, the Rafale and the nEUROn. He was Technical
Director of the Rafale Program and Technical Vice President in charge, in particular
of aerodynamic design. Philippe Perrier holds the Medal of Aeronautics.
