6.2.2 Meshing
Workpiece model building: workpiece can be built by Abaqus simulation software
module. The workpiece is 12 mm in length, 6 mm in width, and 3 mm in height.
Tool simplification needs to be conducted in the simulation by importing the
cutting part model of the tool into Abaqus only. As the deformation of the tool is
very small, the influence of deformation can be ignored. Therefore, the tool is set as
a rigid body. Figure 6.7 is three-dimensional geometry model of cutting simulation
in Abaqus.
