Alessandro Romeo is professor of Physics at the University of
Verona and research group leader, working on a whole spectrum
of chalcogenide solar cells (CdTe, Sb 2 Se 3 , CZTS and CIGS
solar cells). Alessandro obtained his PhD at the Swiss Federal
Institute of Technology Zurich (ETHZ). He has been working
in the field of thin film solar cells for more than 20 years having done postdoctoral research in different laboratories (University of Parma, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, University of Verona). He is a member of the scientific committee for
the European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference since 2010.
Alessandro was one of the organizers of the E-MRS Spring
Meeting “Thin Film Chalcogenide Solar Cells” in 2010, 2012
and 2014.
