Examples of single and multiplexed fluorescence-based LFAs for a wide variety
of clinical relevant BMs using QD-hybrids (conjugated to protein or DNA) as signal
reporters can be found in the literature (Table 1) [120–128]. As shown in Table 1,
the use of QDs as labels in the development of LFAs has enabled the fast and sensitive determination of different protein biomarkers and DNA. The performance
