11 Novel Reactor Developments
The recent developments in reactor technologies for handling O 2 have aimed
to address the challenge associated with the poor solubility of O 2 in water and
organic solvents. Thus, efforts have focused on reducing residence times through
the enhancement in the mass transfer from the gas to the liquid phase without the
