4.5 Cultural Adaptive Reuse of Abandoned Buildings
4.5.1 Decision Problem
In this case study, a decision-maker (DM) faces a decision situation with respect to
the adaptive reuse for cultural and art purposes of underused sites and buildings
located in Turin, Italy (Costa et al. 2019). As other Italian and European cities, Turin
has faced with the double problem of the deep economic crisis and the change of the
urban fabric, with ten million square meters of underused industrial areas until the
end of the 1990s. From those years, one of the elements characterizing the strategy of
