About the Editor
Taku Onishi is a Japanese scientist. He graduated from the Faculty of Science,
Osaka University, Japan, in 1998, and gained his PhD from the Department of
Chemistry, Osaka University, Japan, in 2003. He got a permanent position at the Faculty of Engineering, Mie University, Japan, in 2003. He has been a guest researcher
for the Department of Chemistry, University of Oslo, Norway, since 2010. His
research covers several research fields such as quantum chemistry, computational
chemistry, quantum physics, and material science. In 2017, his book Quantum
Computational Chemistry: Modelling and Calculation for Functional Materials was
published by Springer Nature. He has served on international scientific activities:
Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry; Chair of the Computational Chemistry (CC) Symposium; a position on the science committee of the International
Conference of Computational Methods in Sciences and Engineering (ICCMSE); a
member of the editorial board of Cogent Chemistry, the Journal of Computational
Methods in Sciences and Engineering (JCMSE), and Cogent Engineering. He
has reviewed many international proceedings, books, and journals in various
