Climate Model
The meteorological observations in most of the
basin territory associated with 34 river gauges
under study were short term and, therefore,
useless for SAM. SAM was used previously to
prove the existence of air temperature and precipitation trends common to the vast space, e.g.
for Russia or the USA (Kirsta 2006b, 2011a).
These characteristics were expressed in a normalized form, i.e. in percent/fraction of their
specified long-term averaged monthly values. As
