SAM makes it possible to reveal and describe
quantitatively a set of basic processes and their
relations to environmental factors (i.e. structural–
functional organization) for little-studied natural
systems. For instance, SAM enabled to detect of
short temperature-independent 1–3-day periods
in plant annual development as well as to estimate quantitatively a vertical diffusion and condensation of vaporous water in soils throughout a
year (Kirsta 2006a, b). SAM provides the
