a thermally insulating char, which can prevent heat and oxygen from contacting the
polymer underneath, resulting decreased flammability. Therefore, compared to neat
PU polymer, the MoS 2 -containing PU composite burns slowly and the PU/
M-MoS 2 -5% composite exhibits better FR activity. The PHRR and THR values of
pure PU decreased to 259.5 kW m
−2 and 10.1 MJ m
−2 after composite formation
with M-MoS 2 (5 wt%), and the relative reductions are 45% and 40%, respectively.
