3 /s from 28.6 to 24 °C (see Fig. 20.3). The investment outlay required
for a fan cooler is estimated at approx. EUR 57/kW c = PLN 241/kW c . In the light
of the above data, the total capital expenditure for the implementation of the cooling
system described above may be estimated at approximately PLN 28 million/EUR
6.4 million. It is assumed that the cooler will operate for 15 years and the costs of its
integration with the power plant will amount to 30% of the investment outlay related
to the construction of the cooler itself (i.e. PLN 8.4 million/EUR 1.9 million).
The total capital expenditure related to the implementation of the project under
Option 1 can be estimated at approximately PLN 40.8 million/EUR 9.3 million
(PLN 28 million/EUR 6.4 million for the cooling system + PLN 8.4 million/EUR
1.9 million for integrating the cooler into the system + PLN 4.4 million/EUR
1 million for the pipeline connecting the condenser collecting pipe to the ٞ aczanySkawina Canal). The annual cost incurred under this option can be estimated at PLN
3.7 million/EUR 0.84 million (depreciation of fixed assets, operation, repairs and
maintenance, additional fuel purchase cost). Given the gross amount of electricity
produced (1375 GWh/year as stated in Fig. 20.3), the operation of the system would
increase the price of electricity generation by PLN 3.93/MWh (EUR 0.89/MWh).
