energy produced in 2016 when in 2002 it was 2.7% of total energy produced in
Poland. Figures 17.8, 17.9 and 17.10 show the change in the structure of shares of
individual carriers in energy production. In 2016, the energy produced in hydropower
plants accounted for only 9.3% of energy generated in renewable energy sources,
and in 2002 it was 82.4%.
Electricity produced in small hydropower plants (<1 MW) and medium (1–
10 MW) hydropower plants shows a relatively stable trend without sudden increases
and decreases. The exception is the year 2010, which belonged to extremely rainy
years, where the river flow was higher than the average for many years. In high-power
