4.8.1.2 Thermosets
Thermosets, or thermosetting polymers, are derived from low-molecularweight precursors known as monomers or oligomers. When allowed to
polymerize (chemically react), they form continuous network polymers of
very large molecular weights that are crosslinked to the extent that the network is infusible and insoluble.
