1 Introduction
Water is considered to be one of the rudimentary and essential requirements by all
living organisms present on earth. It covers a majority of the volume on our planet,
occupying about 71% of the whole total surface of Earth. Water is being used as
one of the essential components in various industrial processes such as agriculture, construction, thermal power generation, textile manufacturing, paper, and pulp
production [3, 31]. Freshwater is a pivotal and highly important natural resource. It
is a primary need for living and is an irreplaceable part of human lives and other
living organisms [10]. Water is also seen increasingly becoming a global resource,
which is due to an increase in the trend of growing international trade in goods and
services and its prominence is increasing day by day [9]. When seen at a worldwide
scale, it is observed that major water usage occurs in the agricultural sector, but
there are also other sectors that add its own significant contribution to the overall
water consumption (WWAP 2009) [28]. Figure 1 shows the distribution of water
consumption in different sectors. The requirement of water day by day is changing
towards a strategy issue at a worldwide, governments of various countries are shifting
their primary focus towards water requirement at a sustainable level. By which, the
globalization network is starting to use new and complex guidelines and specific
and conceptual strategies for the global trade exchange occurring on consumer products by interconnecting various multinational industrial sector by utilizing the data of
