1; and the percolate treatment (Y6) primarily involves the collection and treatment
systems, scoring 1.
The hazard scoring equation for the domestic waste landfill is established based
on the indexes, weights and scores of the hazards of the domestic wastes landfill:
S ¼ b 1 Â Y1 þ b 2 Â Y2 þ b 3 Â Y3 þ b 4 Â Y4 þ b 5 Â Y5 þ b 6 Â Y6
S ¼ 0:3130 Â 4 þ 0:2049 Â 1 þ 0:1707 Â 8 þ 0:1262 Â 8 þ 0:0993
 1 þ 0:0861  1
5. Environmental and health risks assessment of the landfill underwater
According to the groundwater monitoring results, some indexes of the groundwater
in the landfill exceeded the Class III standard in the Quality Standard for
Groundwater. The groundwater in the landfill area is at the level of about 3.0–
3.5 m, which flows from the land to the sea. The surface phreatic water and the first
layer of confined water are saline water, unusable in industrial and agricultural
production or for human consumption. Therefore, drinking water considerations are
not involved for the groundwater in this site, but the health risks assessment for
pollution shall be conducted (Table 5.113).
(1) Health risks assessment
A total of 10 groundwater monitoring points are established for 10 indexes of
chemical substances in the landfill, covering the organic, inorganic and other
substances. Health risks assessment shall be conducted using HERA software in
accordance with the Technical Guidelines for Risk Assessment of Contaminated
Sites (HJ25.3–2014) and the (Trial) Guidelines for Health Risk Assessment of
Groundwater Pollution.
