B. Fissure water of stratified volcanic rock
It is mainly distributed in Shibeiling, Shoushan Township and other areas to the
northwest of the landfill area. The main water-bearing rock formations are K1 Â 1
(tuffaceous) mudstone, siliceous mudstone, (tuffaceous) siltstone, tuffaceous sandstone, siliceous rock, tuffaceous glutenite, conglomerate, shale and so forth, where
phreatic water occurs mostly and confined groundwater occurs only in some
low-lying areas of the cols; its spring flow is about 0.1 L/s and groundwater runoff
modulus is less than 3 L/s km
2 , so the water flow is insufficient.
C. Fissure water of massive intrusive rock
It is distributed sporadically in the working area, the main water-bearing rock
formations are fine-grained quartz-monzonite diorites such as K2cp, K1fc and
K1rηo quartz-syenite porphyry, granite porphyry and so forth, where phreatic
water occurs mostly and confined groundwater occurs only in some low-lying areas
of the cols; its spring flow is about 0.1 L/s and groundwater runoff modulus is less
than 2 L/s km
2 , so the water flow is insufficient.
II. Weathered eluvial pore-fissure water
The aquifer is mainly distributed at the edge of piedmont of low mountains, hills
and residual hills. The aquifer is mainly composed of weathered bedrock and clay
sand and gravel in elluvium. The thickness varies greatly from place to place.
Groundwater mainly moves in elluvium, pores of fully weathered layer, highly
weathered pore-fissure water and fissures of moderately weathered layer. This fissure is short and shallow and is connected with each other to form undulant
stratiform-like aquifers with different thickness, so the water-rich parts are often in
the low-lying areas.
This type of groundwater is a mixed type of water between Quaternary loose
rock pore water and bedrock fissure water, with a shortage of water, great seasonal
variation, a spring flow of 0.14–0.186 L/s and a modulus of 1.02–1.80 L/s km
2 .
III. Loose rock fissure water
Loose rock pore water in the area is mainly distributed in the hydrogeological units
such as Huzhong Village at the outlet of a creek on the north-east side of the
working area. The aquifer is composed of clayey sand, argillaceous, gravel and
pebble, sand, with phreatic water in pores and micro-confined water in some parts.
The water level is shallowly buried, 0.5–2.0 m, and the single-pore water inflow is
more than 1000 m
3 /d.
⑥ Groundwater recharge, runoff, discharge conditions and dynamic change
rules
The recharge, runoff and discharge conditions of groundwater are different in different water-bearing formations.
