9.5.2 Part 2: Analysis of the System Conflicts
and Formulation of a Mini-problem
Step 2.1 Check whether the system conflict have auxiliary tool (AT):
From Table 9.2, the system conflict of this problem does not have auxiliary tool
(AT).
Step 2.2B Formulate intensified system conflicts (ISC):
The intensified system conflicts of SC-1 (ISC-1) is that all driving motorcycle
on road are all electrical motorcycles, as shown in Fig. 9.6. Therefore, this situation
will produce super large amount of power requirement for battery swapping station.
Furthermor, It will be resulting in reducing battery life and the traveling range of the
electrical motorcycle.
The intensified system conflicts of SC-2 (ISC-2) is that all driving motorcycle
on road are all gas-powered motorcycles, as shown in Fig. 9.7. The gas-powered
motorcycles have no power requirement for battery swapping stations. However, it
will produce large amount of exhaust emissions in the driving area.
Step 2.3B Select an intensified system conflicts:
The intensified system conflicts ISC-1 is selected to reach the primary fuction (PF)
of this problem. If all driving motorcycle on road are all electrical motorcycles, then it
will be no exhaust emissions in the driving area. However, this situation will produce
super large amount of power requirement for battery swapping station. Furthermor,
