numerous articles about small particles from mining activities, fish deaths in rivers,
“smelly” waterways poisoned by palm oil mill effluent and wildlife conflicts in
newly established plantations. I remember being very impressed with the quality of
reporting and that the newspapers had truthfully reported on emerging issues.
