Chukwuebuka Egbuna is a chartered chemist, a chemical analyst, and an academic researcher. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Chemists of Nigeria
(ICCON), the Nigerian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (NSBMB),
the Society of Quality Assurance (SQA, USA), and the Royal Society of Chemistry
(RSC, UK). He has been engaged in a number of roles at New Divine Favor
Pharmaceutical Industry Limited, Akuzor Nkpor, Anambra State, and Chukwuemeka
Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), both in Nigeria. He has collaboratively
worked and published quite a number of research articles in the areas of phytochemistry, nutrition, and toxicology. He has edited a three-volume set book of phytochemistry with Apple Academic Press in partnership with CRC Press, Taylor &
Francis (Phytochemistry, Volume 1: Fundamentals, Modern Techniques, and
Applications; Phytochemistry, Volume 2: Pharmacognosy, Nanomedicine, and
Contemporary Issues; and Phytochemistry, Volume 3: Marine Sources, Industrial
Applications, and Recent Advances). He has also edited other books such as
Phytochemistry: An In-Silico and In-Vitro Update with Springer Nature, Singapore;
Phytochemicals as Lead Compounds for New Drug Discovery with Elsevier;
Natural Remedies for Pest, Disease and Weed Control with Elsevier (Academic
Press imprint); and Drug Development for Cancer and Diabetes: A Path to 2025
with Apple Academic Press. He is also working collaboratively on other book titles
such as Preparation of Phytopharmaceuticals for the Management of Disorders:
The Development of Nutraceuticals and Traditional Medicine (Elsevier); Neglected
Tropical Diseases and Phytochemicals in Drug Discovery (Wiley-Blackwell);
