Magdalena Kachniewska has spent 25 years teaching, researching and consulting in sustainable
tourism development and new business models in digital economy. Her current research focus
includes: smart mobility and smart tourism development, social media marketing strategies and
mobile marketing (SoCoMo), data-based experience management and personalisation.
Along with her research carried out in the SGH Warsaw School of Economics (Institute of
Infrastructure, Transport and Mobility), she is a member of the Scientific Council of e-Travel
Forum and Chairperson of the competition committee in the ‘New.Tech—New.Travel’ contest.
She is a strategic management and marketing expert with specialization in ICT, smart environments and interactive marketing focusing on technology applications in the tourism, travel, hospitality and leisure industries. She frequently delivers keynote presentations, speeches, seminars
and workshops in both academic and professional conferences. She has close collaborations with
industry, governments and tourism organisations, ensuring her conclusions have the utmost relevance and impact on the real world whilst constantly pushing the boundaries of knowledge and
academic excellence.
