reservoir is in class III. Siemianówka and D˛ ebe have the worst quality class—below
good.
As regards specific pollution, the analysed reservoirs were only classified as class
I and II. Only the Nysa reservoir was not classified in this respect.
12 reservoirs have a good ecological status. These include Klimkówka, Czorsztyn,
Ro˙ znów, Dobczyce, Solina, Besko, Jeziorsko, Bukówka, Goczałkowice and the Soła
Cascade dam reservoirs: Tresna, Mi˛ edzybrodzie, and Czaniec. The reservoirs: D˛ ebe,
Sulejów, Włocławek, Mietków, Pilchowice, Kozłowa Góra, Rybnik, Turawa, and
Nysa have a moderate ecological status. The Siemianówka reservoir has a bad
ecological status (Fig. 7.12).
Classification of chemical status was based on the results of tests of priority
substances and other pollutants. It is assumed that surface water bodies have a
good chemical status if average annual values (expressed as arithmetic mean of the
measured concentrations of indexes) and maximum concentrations do not exceed the
allowed values of environmental quality standards (EQS). Exceeding relevant environmental quality standards for at least one positively verified value of concentrations
