14.4 Using the ORE Concept for Dams Systems
For our quantitative risk assessments we use our “universal” platform called ORE
(Optimum Risk Estimates, ©Oboni Riskope Associates Inc., 2014–2019). Although
ORE is a proprietary platform, we regularly teach its principles, which are summarised below. You are welcome to apply them “by hand” to simple cases, but
beware: pretty soon any system goes beyond the “Excel worksheet” capabilities and
properly structuring the risk register will become a challenge.
Ore follows a continuous loop as shown below in Fig. 14.3.
