Procedure
A: Construction of the PV Energy System
1. Using goggles, attach 15 cm of wire to the nodes of the photovoltaic cell.
The cell needs to have hooks or clips where the wire can manually be
twisted.
2. Follow the safety instructions provided by your teacher. Attach the red
wire to the red lead on the ammeter.
3. In the same way, attach black wires from the photovoltaic cell to the
ammeter’s black lead.
4. Use the light source to see where you are receiving a current reading. In
case the ammeter shows no current, re-check the wire connections. See
Fig. 3.6 above for the equipment setup.
