10.11.2 Asia
By 2030, it is predicted that Asia may account for more than 50% of the global
middle class, thus influencing sustainability efforts (Fernandez 2019). Conscious
consumerism will increasingly emerge, particularly for millennials who have
lower disposable incomes, with more willingness to purchase ethically produced
goods. The next generation of conscious leaders in the Middle East could support
sustainability. With an increasingly international outlook as well as a legacy to
uphold, the chance for this generation to drive sustainability is ripe. A significant
proportion of the population will access the Internet with South-East Asia leading
with at least 370 million users (Fernandez 2019). Hyperconnectivity will allow
people to develop better transparency opportunities for mobilizing around problems
that are part of them. More countries in the Middle East will continue embracing
sustainability, with Saudi Arabia leading through the construction of probably the
largest wind farm within the Gulf. More countries in the Middle East will invest in
renewable energy and engage in sustainable mining. With proceeds obtained from
oil and other minerals, countries could prioritize investing green mining technology.
10.11.3 Australia
More millennials will be willing to spend more on goods and services produced
sustainably. The conscious consumer choices will drive brands to rethink their social
and environmental impact. This trend will intensify as organizations transform from
sustainability as a necessary marketing expense to become a core part of businesses.
10.11.4 Europe
Europe will be characterized by the adoption of more common strategic goals that
will be set by companies, including energy efficiency, sustainable supply chains,
and climate change. Higher investments in energy will also continue in this region.
Artificial intelligence will further be used for enhancing sustainability efforts.
Technological innovation could incubate the new emerging business models that
may support future waste management systems of the world.

Adoption of United Nation sustainable development goals has been progressing a
slow pace pertaining to organizations founded in North America. However, 41% of
