To the southwest of Colombia, in the department of Putumayo, is the Sibundoy Valley
and the Kamëntsá or Kamsá community and the Inga community. Since ancient
times, the agriculture, weaving, wood carving, the creation of musical instruments
and basketry have been the basis of the collective economy of both communities.
Each community has managed to distinguish itself through crafts, as a genuine
expression of their ancestral knowledge and an alternative of economic growth and
development amid a violent and vulnerable territorial context [10].
