Complex shapes with monolithic structures are the advantages
of hulls. These are the driving factors in the development of composite boats. High-speed boats employ advanced and hybrid composites for both high performance and safety. Aquarius Fibreglass
of Goa, India, has manufactured the hull of a high-speed (35 knots)
interceptor boat with a length of 50 feet shown in . Fig. 2.25. It has
a sandwich composite construction.
