Fig. 2.24 PARAFAC analysis and F max organic matter in metabolites containing three components
in anaerobic fermentation (Jia et al. 2017c)
reduced to 916.1 mM. The decay of methanogens dissolved intracellular coenzyme
NADH out, so that the fluorescence intensity of NADH suddenly rose. In the three
components, the concentration of coenzyme NADH substance was the lowest.
PARAFAC provides additional quantitative information for describing the allocation of organic matter extracted from the samples in each stage of anaerobic fermentation. Therefore, it was observed that the changes of microbial activities of the
generated protein-like substances significantly reduced. The fluorescence intensity
of component 2 obviously increased and then decreased in anaerobic fermentation
based on microorganisms. The accumulation of component 3 resulted in the augmentation of the fluorescence intensity of coenzyme NADH in soluble metabolites
of anaerobic fermentation (Jia et al. 2017c).
2.3.3.3 Microbial Community and Function
The mixed liquor for analyzing metaproteome was collected from bioreactors in four
stages, i.e. peak stage of hydrogen production (Stage I, 6–12 h), late stage of hydrogen
