4.3.3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions are applicable to the current standard.
4.3.3.1 Pre-treatment
It is a treatment process to modify the fermentation conditions of raw materials of
livestock manure compost by means of mechanical crushing, addition of ingredients,
and inoculation of mixed animalcule bacteria.
4.3.3.2 Primary Fermentation
It is the degradation process of putrescible organic matters in the raw materials of
compost experiencing temperature rising, high-temperature treatment, temperature
drop, and temperature stabilization.
4.3.3.3 Secondary Fermentation
It refers to the further maturation process of compost after the primary fermentation,
also known as the aging or composting stage.
4.3.3.4 Aftertreatment
It refers to the fine treatment of maturated compost, involving screening, crushing,
and drying processes.
4.3.4 Project Construction and Site Selection
4.3.4.1 Construction of Composting Plants
The primary projects include the construction of pre-treatment, primary fermentation,
secondary fermentation, aftertreatment, and measuring and packing regions. The
ancillary projects involve loadometer, sewage treatment, product inspection, finished
product warehouse, and fire protection.
