4.2 Operation Norms of Facilities for Treating Rural Domestic …
115
Rainwater and sewage in the drainage system of the composting sites should be
shunted. The reflux ditches need to be cleaned and dredged timely to ensure leachate
to smoothly flow to the sewage pool.
4. Control and monitoring
The control and monitoring instruments of process facilities should be checked to
ensure they are in good condition before running the facilities.
The control room (or monitoring site) should have a good sight so as to observe
and control the operations of relevant processes and equipment.
The control room should inform relevant information of an accident to the
processes before and after the process attacked by the accident.
4.2.6.2 Maintenance
1. Residues on transmission parts (friction wheels or gears) of rotary screens should
be removed in time. The screen surface needs to be cleaned, repaired, and replaced
regularly.
2. Wind blowers and motors should be maintained regularly; filter bowls, filter
screens, and filter bags need to be regularly cleaned, maintained, or replaced;
lubricating oil (or grease) should be smeared on rotating parts such as bearings
at regular intervals.
3. Gutterways, ventilating ducts, and gutter cover plates on the bottom of composting sites should be cleaned and dredged regularly.
4.2.6.3 Safety Operation
1. Operation record needs to be checked before running equipment including platetype feeders and rollers, to ensure that the motors and speed-regulation devices
are on normal conditions and the whole machines and their transmission parts
are not clamped.
2. Plate-type feeders and rollers need to be turned off for inspection and maintenance
during operation if the following phenomena occur: abnormal noise, faults of
parts such as breakage, too high temperature of motors or bearings, and clamping
of material inlets and outlets.
3. Once machines are clamped, blocked, or twined by sundries, they need to be
turned off immediately to eliminate the faults.
4. Operating personnel are not allowed to pull foreign matters clamping, blocking
and twining machines before turning off the machines.
