Development of the Standard System
for Differentiated Resourceful Utilization
of Organic Wastes in Villages and Towns
Abstract The Outline of the National Medium- and Long-term Plan for Scientific
and Technological Development (2006–2020) clearly regards the implementation
of technical standard strategy as one of the two major strategies for scientific and
technological development in China. Moreover, it is the challenge and requirement
for standardization in the face of the international situations and domestic development. Actions of environmental protection, such as major scientific and technological
projects for comprehensive environmental improvement in villages and towns and
continuous improvement have been taken. Based on this, a series of standards and
specifications, such as resourceful treatment of domestic wastes and livestock manure
in villages and towns have been compiled. The Ministry of Environment and Ecology of the People’s Republic of China has recognized the above work. The ministry
pointed out that Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region has formulated and promulgated
a series of standards for comprehensive improvement of rural environment through
active innovation based on the actual conditions in the promotion of continuous
improvement of rural environment. This provides guarantees for doing all tasks well
and the practices and experience are worth learning and promoting. The promulgation of standards and norms provides an important basis for rural environmental
protection in Ningxia and ensures that continuous improvement of rural environment
is efficiently and orderly carried out. Relevant achievements have award the second
prize of National Excellent Engineering Consultation.
