The lead (Pb)
The seasonal lead concentrations in various organs of
mussel (Fig. 3) range from 0.1(gonad in winter) to
4.07(digestive gland in spring), 0.31(gonad in autumn)
to 4.9 (RST in summer), and 1.61(gonad in summer) to
17.15 (gill in autumn), at Figuier, Sercouf, and Algiers
port, respectively.
Pb contents of Figuier mussels showed a significant
variation from summer to spring, high levels were recorded during spring and summer. However, low levels
were recorded during autumn and winter. Highest
