Avoid Close-Up Photos!
If you are taking a close-up photo of something rather small, resist to the temptation
of setting the perfect frame right away, by getting very close to the subject.
Close-up photos, unless you have the appropriate professional zoom lens, is
likely to result in images which are only partly in focus (depth of field is very limited) and/or distorted.
Instead, move back, take a picture from a larger frame, and then crop later on
from the computer (even within your slide presentation software).
The image files are so large nowadays, that you really don’t lose much resolution
when cropping photos and enlarging them later to put them on your screen. This
way, the image will be totally in focus.
