Avoid “Fancy” Animations
Animations are extremely important, so that the visual cues appear at the right time,
that is, when the speaker starts talking about them (see Sect. 2.2).
But only use two types of animations: “appear” and “disappear”. Forget about
text and images flying all over the screen and doing wild things. Such craziness just
distracts from the important message you try to convey. Appear. Disappear. That’s it.
Also, I strongly suggest you get rid of any “transitions” between slides. I find
them annoying. Especially when you animate using multiple slides (see Sect. 3.2).
