be due to aeolian activities. The photo microphotograph (Fig. 19 NH. 13a) from the
same location shows chips of angular quartz grains due to high impact energy during the movement of the glacier. The en-echelon pattern of dunes like feature
appears on one of the surface.
SEM study shows that these sediments have been subjected to high energy of
mechanical abrasion, characteristic of glacial and aeolian environments. They have
also preserved some amount of chemical textures. Figures display sharp edges and
sub-parallel curved fractures. Pitted surface with pits arranged in a preferred direction, over the broken and polished surface points towards an aeolian episode superposed over the glacial event.
