face). The sequence consists of sub-angular clasts upto 1.2  m in the middle unit
indicates high energy hyper-concentrated debris flow which gradually transformed
to low energy stream flow deposits (Fig. 9b–d).
Ozri Section
At Ozri, the active channel occupies a very narrow and deep gorge having a width
of less than 10 m incises the bed rock vertically. Along the road section, at the height
of ~125 m on right bank of the Yamuna River, around 10 m thick deposit characterized
by well imbricated, poorly sorted, clast supported, sub-rounded to rounded gravel in
sandy matrix Gm is observed (Fig. 10). The unit is resting over the bed rock and
represents paleo-flood plain of Yamuna River (Fig. 10). The sedimentary attributes
(roundness, clast imbrication, matrix and geometry) suggests persistent stream flow
conditions under humid climate.
