3 Results and Discussion
3.1 Valley Morphology and Distribution of Quaternary
Landforms
The Yamuna River Valley along the stretch from the Higher Himalayas (north of
MCT) upto southward extent of Lesser Himalayas (upto MBT) near Hathiyari
Village, exhibits variable morphology of (i) deeply entrenched (gorge) and narrow
V-shaped valley in upper reaches (upto Kuthnaur village: north of MCT) and (ii)
