16.4 Conclusions
The results obtained for the production of the metallic foam were satisfactory, since it was possible to determine the optimal
parameters for the production of a foam with homogeneous distribution of the particulates, a reduction of approximately 30%
of the density in relation to the aluminum matrix, having good wetting characteristics and total mechanical anchoring of the
balloons in the metallic matrix. The next step for future work is to carry out further tests to better determine the other
mechanical and physical properties present in the developed material.
