1.3.4 Four-Point Flexural Test
As shown in Fig. 1.6, in the four-point flexural test, the unnotched beam specimens
with a span of 300 mm were loaded and the forces divided the span into thirds. The
above INSTRON-8803 testing machine was used, and the displacement control rate
was set as 0.1 mm/min. Two LVDTs attached at opposite sides of the specimens were
used to measure the averaged mid-span deflection, and the flexural load–deflection
curves were obtained.
