in which T, T ref and Tm are the current temperature, reference temperature and
melting temperature of the metallic material, respectively.
(2) Mechanical tests on armor steel
A series of static and dynamic mechanical tests were carried out to obtain the detailed
parameters (A, B, n, C, m) of JC constitutive model for 10CrNi3MoV21A armor steel.
Quasi-Static Tensile Test at Room Temperature.
The quasi-static tensile test at room temperature was conducted to obtain the stress–
strain relationship of the 10CrNi3MoV21A armor steel. As depicted in Fig. 7.17,
the rectangular cross-section specimen was designed and three repeated tests were
carried out under displacement control regime with an identical loading rate of
4.2 mm/min, i.e., the nominal strain rate is 1 × 10
–3 s
−1 . Figure 7.18 illustrates
the corresponding true quasi-static tensile stress–strain curves of three specimens.
It is found that the good repeatability and the tensile fracture of specimens were
obtained. It can be derived that, the elastic modulus and static yield strength of
10CrNi3MoV21A armor steel are about 209 GPa and 665 MPa, respectively.
