finite volume method-based open-source flow solver, Fluent, was used for solving
the governing equations. The SIMPLE algorithm was used for pressure and velocity
coupling. For modeling Reynolds stresses, two-equation models are used. The main
objective of this study is to recognize suitable RANs turbulence model based on fluid
flow and heat transfer for slot jet impingement on a heated cylinder.
Figure 3 shows the results of grid-sensitive study for the present study.
3 Results and Discussion
Brahma et al. [11] presented the experimental investigation of flow characteristics on
slot jet impingement on a cylinder. They presented pressure distribution on cylinder
