scale, cost, and weight of SMA components in comparison with conventional actuators are the key benefits due to their excellent features like mechanical simplicity
and compact nature. Limited range of SMA transformation temperatures has become
a drawback for some of the applications for their implementation. However, NiTi
SMA has covered the majority of feasible studies due to their operating temperatures
(−40 °C to 125 °C) which is generally a range for passenger cars to which they are
exposed.
