7.8 Slender Fuselage
The aircraft fuselage is a component used to load people, cargo, weapons
and airborne equipment, as well as connector for components such as wings,
tails, and landing gears. On light aircraft and fighters, the engine is often
installed in the fuselage. The drag of the fuselage in flight accounts for about
30%~40% of the total drag. Therefore, the slender streamlined fuselage plays
an important role in reducing drag and improving flight performance. Since
the driver, passengers, cargo, and airborne equipment are concentrated on the
fuselage, most of the requirements related to the use of the aircraft (such as
the driver’s vision, the environmental requirements of the cockpit, the loading
and unloading of goods and weapons, the inspection and maintenance of
system equipment, etc.) have a direct impact on the shape and structure of
