7. Full-size wind tunnel
To date, the world’s largest low-speed wind tunnel is located at NASA
Ames research center. It is a 24.4-m by 12.2-m full-size low-speed wind
tunnel. A new test section of 36.6 m × 24.4 m has been added to the
wind tunnel, and the fan motor power has been increased from 25 to 100
megawatts (as shown in Figs. 6.41, 6.42, 6.43 and 6.44).
