is greater than 10 −3 , the sound velocity in the water will be less than that in
the air (the sound velocity in the water is about five times of that in the air).
3.2.5 Non-newtonian Fluid Flow
The shear stress of some liquids (such as water with high sand content) is
not linearly related to the shear deformation rate. These liquids are nonNewtonian fluids. The water added to the polymer is also a non-Newtonian
fluid, which has a much lower resistance to the objects moving in it
(non-Newtonian fluid mechanics, as shown in Fig. 3.10).
