ROGWSI01—is located in the Suhard Mountains and Obcina Mestecanisului,
with an area of 90.0 km
2 . It is of the fissural type and spring, accumulated in limestone and crystalline dolomites and the crystalline shale of the Tulghes Series. All
these types of metamorphic rocks are of pre-Cambrian age and are generally phalanxed in the SV-NE direction. The boundary between Suhard Mountains and Obcina
Mestecanisului is marked by the Bistrita River, with the NV-SE oriented flow direction.
ROGWSI03—is a permeable porous type, develops in the deposits of the meadows
and terraces of the Siret River and its tributaries and is quaternary of age, and the
area is 4256 km
2 . The phreatic aquifer is cantonated in sands and pebbles with
stones, covered by deposits made of clays, silt or sandy clays. The permeable layers
have average thicknesses of approximatively 5 m. Larger thicknesses of the aquifer
formations are recorded in the area of Harlesti and Gheraiesti, Bacau and Sascut
hydroelectric stations, where they reach approximately 10 m thick, as well as the
Adjud and Ciorani stations where the gravel thicknesses are 20 m.
ROGWSI04—located in the Haghimas Mountains, of the fisural-karst type, being
accumulated in Triasic, and Jurassic and Cretaceous deposits with an area of 141 km
2 .
The deposits were affected by the alpine orogenesis which led to the formation of
a large N-S-oriented sinclinal in which axial and transverse curvatures occur. The
Triasic-Cretaceous deposits are generally crossed by many crevice and cracks which,
along with the layering and carstice voids, constitute access routes and the flow of
meteoric waters into the mass of rocks.
ROGWSI05—a permeable porous body with an area of 2145 km
2 , accumulated
in quaternary age deposits growing in the ramble plain. The underground aquifer
in the sand and gravel of these deposits is generally located at low depths (1–5 m),
except for the areas covered by deluvial-prolual deposits in the Siret Plain, with a
piezometric level of 8–10 m deep.
ROGWSI06—is a permeable porous body. It develops in Sarmatian age formations and has a cross-border carater on an area of 3857 km
2 .
ROGWPR05—a permeable porous water body, accumulated in the Sarmatian
age deposits that develop on the territory of the Neamt, Bacau and Vaslui counties,
belonging to the Moldavian Platform—the Moldavian Plateau, the Barlad Plateau
and the Moldavian Subcarpathians, on an area of 12,531 km
2 the Siret and Prut
hydrographic basins.
ROGWAG12—underground deepwater body cantonated in Fratesti and Candesti
formations, of the Middle Pleistocene age. The area is of 42,768 km
2 , belonging to
the hydroelectric basins Siret, Prut, Argea, Buzau and Ialomita (Fig. 11.13).
The water resources in the management plan of the Siret, surface or underground
water basin management are monitored qualitatively and quantitatively conservation
and protection. This protects against pollution and floods. Following the collection
of information, a database is being gathered, and it is analyzed then after the results
are obtained, a series of measures are taken to improve or eliminate the negative
effects.
