7. The Poiana Uzului Lake;
8. The Racaciuni Lake—Siret (upstream Galbeni—downstream Beresti);
9. The Calimanesti Lake;
10. The Solca Lake.
The water bodies represented by the natural lakes of the Siret River Basin are
monitored from a qualitative point of view as it follows:
1. The Lala Lake is monitored using an integrated sample consisting of four subsamples taken from the cardinal points and from the middle of the lake; one
sample only is taken for the chemical analysis, from the middle lake;
2. The Rosu Lake is biologically evaluated by means of an integrated sample consisting of sub-samples taken from three monitoring sections: lake entrance, middle of the lake and the lake exit, and the chemical analysis only from the middle of
the lake; There are 8 sections where biological samples are taken and 2 sections
where chemical samples are taken.
The Lala Lake water body—LW12.1.53.5.1
The Lala water body belongs to the ROLN18 typology. It is a glacial type of lake,
located in the ecoregion 10, at an altitude of 1800 m. It has silicon substrate; the
average depth is 1.6 m, the area of 0.01 km
2 . It is not used in anthropogenic activities.
The lake is biologically evaluated through an integrated probe consisting of subsamples from the 4 cardinal points and one from the middle of the lake. A single
sample is taken from the middle lake section for the chemical analysis.
The Rosu Lake water body—LW12.1.53.48.1
The Rosu Lake water body, located in the central part of the Oriental Carpathians,
was formed as a result of the landslides that took place at the base of the Ucigasu
Mountain and resulted with the blocking of the Bicaz River in 1837 [45, 46]. The
lake is supplied with water from the Bicaz River, and its tributaries the Oii River,
the Suhard River and 12 torrents. It belongs to the ROLN17 typology, located in
ecoregion 10, at an altitude of 980 m. It has a limestone substrate, the average depth
is 5.1 m and the maximum is 10.5 m. It has a surface of 0.0126 km
2 . The retention
time is 3 days. It is used for recreational purposes. The lake is biologically rated
through three monitoring sections: the lake entrance, the middle of the lake and the
lake exit (integrated sample). The chemical analysis sample is taken from the middle
of the lake.
The heavily modified and artificial (lakes) water bodies monitored are the
